Helpful Hints:

  • Don't know what to print? Browse http://www.thingiverse.com/ for ready-made 3D files, or try making your own at blender.org or tinkercad.com
  • Once you've identified what you want to print, download the 3D file. Our printer takes .stl or .obj file formats.
  • You can upload our 3D printer slicer program, Cura, to get an estimate of how long your print will take (you need this info to make a reservation). You can download the free open-source software at https://www.lulzbot.com/cura, and choose either Lulzbot Mini or Lulzbot Taz as your printer type during the installation process.
  • Using SolidWorks for your modeling? Make sure your file exports with the scale set to millimeters, not inches.
