Fight Link Rot: Introduction to Web Archiving to Preserve your Citations - Data Hub Tool Talk
Web pages cited in your papers and used in research are in danger--research suggests 20 to 70% of all links cited in academic articles suffer from "link rot" or "content drift", where the URL no long points to the intended content. This session introduces the challenge of link rot and how to use Archive.org and Perma.cc to preserve links in a verified web archive.
