Introduction to Citation Managers (GSE)

This workshop will be held in the Data Hub (Library room 107) and live via Zoom.

 

Writing a research paper or thesis? Drowning in citations? Citation managers are there to help! In this workshop, we will discuss Zotero and Mendeley, two free citation managers, and the features that help make your academic life easier. 

 

Following this workshop, participants will be able to: 

  • Explain the differences between Zotero and Mendeley 

  • Create accounts and download the desktop versions of these tools 

  • Collect and organize items and sources 

  • Create reference lists in the application and with a word processor plug-in 

  • Share ‘group libraries’ with others
