Managing Research Data (GSE)

This workshop will be held in the Data Hub (Library room 107) and live via Zoom.

 

Data management – either by choice or by requirement – is an increasingly common aspect of research. In this workshop, we will discuss file organization strategies, the benefits of data management plans, as well as cloud-based storage options. Never lose a file again! 

 

Following this workshop, participants will be able to: 

  • Explain the purpose of metadata and some approaches to creating it 

  • Articulate a backup strategy for their data 

  • Select relevant and useful techniques to reorganize their data, as needed
