Me Code Pretty One Day: Writing R code that you will be proud to share using R-markdown

What is the first thought that runs through your head when someone asks the question, “Can I see your R code?” For most, it’s feelings of dread. We worry that other’s won’t understand what we wrote, or we fear they will judge our haphazard coding ways. As researchers, we are increasingly asked to share our code, whether that be within our own lab group or with the public when we submit a manuscript for publication.

This 30-minute workshop will give you a crash course in beautifying your code using R-markdown. R-markdown in an R package that is best displayed using Rstudio. But it’s not limited to only the R language. This powerful package can also interoperate with python, JavaScript, bash, SQL, CSS, and more. So stop those feelings of dread, and start being proud of your code.
