3D Modeling in Autodesk 3DS Max: Part 3

This workshop is part 3 of a 3 part series. Participation in Part 1 and Part 2 is not required for participation in Part 3, but this workshop will be building on skills learned in the previous workshops. 

Autodesk 3DS Max is used for basic 3D modeling, 3D Printing Outputs, and Lighting/Materials. During this workshop, participants will follow along with the instructor in the software, allowing them to learn techniques and functions of the program. The instructor will also be walking around and answering any questions that may come up as the time period proceeds!

Part 3 will focus on:

  • Content Review
  • Uses for 3D Printing
  • Exporting 3D Models for 3D Printing
  • Importing Models to Edit for 3D Printing
  • Importing Models into Cura to Prep for 3D Printing
  • Answering Remaining Questions
  • Directing Students to Resources

 

This workshop requires the use of a laptop with Autodesk 3DS Max installed. Please create an account and download 3DS Max at https://www.autodesk.com/education/free-software/3ds-max prior to the workshop.
