Machine Learning in ArcGIS Platform Workshop

Join GIS Day 2019 keynote speaker Dr. Orhun Aydin for a deep dive into using machine learning with ArcGIS Pro in this full day workshop. This is a special opportunity to learn about cutting edge work in GIS from a leading expert!

"Machine Learning in ArcGIS Platform" is intended for those interested in gaining practical knowledge of machine learning methods as they pertain to GIS analysis. This one-day (8:30am-4:30pm) workshop on November 14 in the U of I Library is open to everyone. The workshop will be taught by Dr. Orhun Aydin, a researcher in ESRI's Spatial Statistics team and a Lecturer in the Spatial Sciences Institute at the University of Southern California Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences.

Prerequisites include a working knowledge of ArcGIS Pro, beginner-level knowledge of R, and beginner-level knowledge of Python. (If you need a refresher, join our pre-workshop: ArcPro Basics: A beginner's guide to Esri ArcGIS Pro)

Upon completing the workshop attendees will have a working knowledge of advanced analytic tools in ArcGIS Pro. Integration with external frameworks such as R and Python will also be covered via hands-on analysis examples.

Registration is free for U of I students, $12 for students from other schools, $20 for U of I employees, $25 for all others. Seats are limited, so please sign up using our Registration Form!
