SUMMARY:Mass Housing: Novi Beograd Exhibition - opening reception
DESCRIPTION:An exhibition of graduate student work that is a product of 
 their studies in the seminar "Mass Housing: Novi Beograd" run by Assistant 
 Professor Robert Wightman in the Department of Architecture. The seminar 
 explores the ambitious and innovative programme of housing development in 
 the post-WWII transformation of Belgrade\, capital of the former 
 Yugoslavia. The exhibition is the first instantiation of research conducted 
 at the University of Idaho in this under-researched topic. It aims to 
 introduce and situate the Serbian capital as a Laboratory for Housing in 
 the modernist tradition of the post-war era. This frame of inquiry will be 
 furthered and disseminated through future exhibitions of work.
