If you ever need help figuring out how to best use our many resources, feel free to contact our reference librarians by any of the means above. You can also meet a librarian in person by making an appointment or by visiting the reference desk, located on the second floor of the library.
Once you've identified what you want to print, download the 3D file. Our printer takes .stl or .obj file formats.
You can upload our 3D printer slicer program, Cura, to get an estimate of how long your print will take (you need this info to make a reservation). You can download the free open-source software at https://www.lulzbot.com/cura, and choose either Lulzbot Mini or Lulzbot Taz as your printer type during the installation process.
Using SolidWorks for your modeling? Make sure your file exports with the scale set to millimeters, not inches.
